The best Jerk Chicken in Pgh hands down This place is almost a second home because I'm there so often. The close community allows the employees to become familiar with your face and even your order. I personally drive quite a distance to have fireside, sometime during peek traffic hours but the drive always seems worth it.

Great spot for a quick and generous portioned meal. I got the curry chicken and it warmed my soul, the meat was tender and the curry was delicious. The staff are all super sweet and prices are fair, especially considering portion size. Definitely worth a try!

I called their phone number twice. It gave me a voice machine. Then I called again and they picked up. They took my order but didn't tell me how long it would be, when I should pick it up, or how much it was. They just hung up. No problem, I was nearby. They were out of oxtail so I ordered the Steak and pepper meal, size small, with rice&beans and cabbage salad. It was delicious. They were out of plantains. They run out of stuff quite often, so order before noon if you want what you want. In addition to the black pepper steak, I tried the jerk chicken meal. It had a great spice to it. Small size seemed just big enough for what we wanted. The jerk chicken was tender and so was the steak. The steak was a little saltier than I expected, but still good. It is still COViD times so the seating was closed off. Guests were standing in a line inside. Some of the guests were properly wearing their masks, but some had their masks not covering their noses, which is very frustrating. Please enforce proper mask wearing if you're going to have your guests wear masks at all. No matter, I look forward to trying more items off of the menu.

I discovered Fireside about a month ago and its hard to resist coming here. The goat and chicken curries are so flavorful, but you can't go wrong with brown stew or jerk. Going to need more time to explore the menu but haven't had a bad meal yet. They run out of food fast so try to go earlier in the day.

This place is excellent!! I've had the brown stew chicken, brown stew fish (tilapia, red snapper hasn't been available), jerk chicken and jerk shrimp, and beef patty. Everything that I've had has been great but their rice and peas are different from how I make mine. I use coconut milk, fresh thyme and other ingredients so the flavor is different. If you can tolerate very spicy food then the jerk is for you. I like spicy but the jerk is way too spicy for me so I stick to other menu items. They are located in Wilkinsburg, where I grew up. Although I haven't lived In there for over two decades it's still important for me to come back and support black businesses. I can't wait to try their other offerings. I make some delicious oxtails myself but it's a labor intensive dish. Why not Fireside do it for me??

What's the 2nd part of my dinner? (Monday~ February 17, 2020) A side of jerk chicken with extra gravy!!! ‍ This is in addition to the brown stew snapper, rice & peas acabbage from Royal Caribbean!! Meal specs: I love their jerk chicken!! I like Royal Caribbean's too. But, Fireside is my favorite. My husband like Royal's better. He feels that the chicken is seasoned as well as the sauce. Back to Fireside. In my opinion, they are so good that they run out of food pretty early!!! That's why we found Royal Caribbean!! However, they run out of food as well. ‍But, not as much as often it as early! Fireside gives you more chicken, too!!! Bon appétit!!! Picture
